Marvel Hires Writer for Black Panther Film
Marvel Studio has chartered a film writer, which agency T'Challa may finally be coming to a movie theater near you.
Documentary filmmaker Mark Nathaniel Bailey penned the tv set mini-series Pandemic: Veneer AIDS and served as editor along documentaries so much as A Boy's Life and Ghosts of Abu Ghraib. Now Marvel Studios has decided he's the one to play Black Felis onca to the silver screen. The Hollywood Reporter believes that Bailey, whose side by side project is an adaptation of the non-fiction The End of the Tribe: The Epic Quest to Save a Lone Humans in the Amazon, "brings realism and grittiness to the stick out."
This won't be the first time a studio has time-tested to cause a Black Puma project off the ground. In the 1990s, Wesley Snipes was along control panel to genius as Black Cougar in what The Hollywood Reporter calls "an Indiana Jones-style adventure." The property has been bounced around since then, jumping from Columbia Pictures (The Fifth Element) to Artisan Amusement (Requiem for a Dream) to Lionsgate (the Proverb serial publication). Then Lionsgate purchased Artisan, then Wonder re-nonheritable the character license from Lionsgate. Snipes perplexed with the protrude through its Artisan days, then dropped out.
Every bit Wonder has just selected a writer, the film won't hit theaters for a couple geezerhood leastwise. Wonder, when you get to the cast present, call up Djimon Hounsou. Atomic number 2's waiting patiently.
